It's not every day that you see #Apple's Senior Vice President - Retail to take the stage during an #appleevent and speak about what is happening in #retail.



It is a barometer for #apple's focus on its #retailstores and clearly outlines how it sees the relevance of a physical touchpoint for its customers in today's digital world.

The #applespecialevent of September 10th, 2019 had many highlights, the most awaited arguably the announcements of #iPhone11 and #iPhone11pro. However, the very mention of #AppleRetail, and #TimCook inviting #DeirdreOBrien on stage just before concluding the #keynote carries unparallel significance.

As #TimCook said, "the best place to learn about the #newiPhones and to experience them hands-on are our amazing retail stores". It reflects that #apple believes firmly in preserving its niche through its retail presence.

#DeirdreOBrien through the announcement of the #applewatchstudio underlined the deep understanding #apple has of its customer engagement model, and the critical role the #appleretailstores would play in executing the vision.
